Nabriva Therapeutics AG is a biopharmaceutical company focused on and specialized in the development of small molecule antibiotics for use in community and hospital infections.
Nabriva was launched early 2006, as a spin-off of the Vienna based Antibiotic Research Institute of Sandoz GmbH, Austria. The spin-off was financed with €42 million from a group of venture capitalists led by Nomura Phase4 Ventures and supported by other blue-chip investors including HBM Partners, Wellcome Trust, Global Life Science Ventures and Novartis Venture Fund.
