Chief Medical Officer

John Goka is a physician with over 30 years experience in clinical medicine, academic research and medicine and pharmaceutical drug development. John trained in gastroenterology in St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London and hepatology in the Institute of Liver Studies, Kings College Hospital, London. He joined Pfizer in 1990 taking on the responsibility of the GI portfolio which he repositioned to target urological indications. John developed darifenacin from conception to global regulatory approval for the treatment of overactive bladder. He moved to the US where he led the linezolid global team to further develop and expand the franchise.
