MD - Chief Operating Officer

Rodger Novak, a co-founder of Nabriva Therapeutics, joined the company in January 2006 as Chief Operating Officer. Rodger is a physician with more than 15 years experience in clinical, academic and pharmaceutical infectious diseases gained in Germany, USA and Austria. Rodger has practiced and conducted academic research in several institutions including The Rockefeller University, New York, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, and Skirball Institute NYU Medical Center, New York. Rodger was appointed a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Vienna in 2001. As Head of Scientific and Medical Affairs and Deputy Head of the Antibiotic Research Institute (ABRI), a unit of Sandoz GmbH, Rodger built-up the development organization directing 40 research and development staff at the Vienna site. After the decision to spin-out ABRI in 2005, he steered the spin-off process and became the Chief Operating Officer of the new company.
